Sebastian J. Langdell is a writer of fiction and nonfiction. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The LA Review of Books, Witness, Electric Literature, Image Journal, Arc Magazine, and the Oxford History of Poetry in English, among other venues. He has been awarded fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Huntington Library. He grew up between London and Los Angeles, and now lives in Austin. He is also the host of the award-winning arts & fitness podcast, Secretly Sporty.

Langdell serves as Associate Professor of English at Baylor University. He is the author of Thomas Hoccleve: Religious Reform, Transnational Poetics, and the Invention of Chaucer, and the editor of Thomas Hoccleve’s Collected Shorter Poems. He holds a Ph.D. in English from Oxford University, and a master’s in creative writing from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to his time at Baylor, he taught at Oxford and Vassar.
